Academic research often generates large volumes of complex audio and written content that must be accurately transcribed, translated and prepared for analysis. 

The University of Oxford required a trusted transcription and translation partner capable of supporting researchers across multiple departments, while maintaining a consistently high standard of accuracy across different transcription formats and languages. 

The requirement included both detailed verbatim transcription and Jeffersonian transcription, alongside multilingual document and audio translation.

For the past two years, Accuro has supported academics and researchers at the University of Oxford, providing specialist transcription and translation services across multiple departments. 

Accuro has completed 19 projects for the University, supporting: 

• Nuffield Department of Primary Care 

• Rees Centre, Department of Education 

• Paediatric Department of Health 

Projects have included both verbatim and Jeffersonian transcription, allowing researchers to select the appropriate level of detail and formatting for their individual research requirements. 

Alongside transcription, Accuro has provided multilingual translation across a range of written and audio research materials. 

The Result ✅ 

Across all English-language transcription projects, Accuro has achieved 98.7% accuracy, measured using Word Error Rate. 

Over the course of the partnership, Accuro has also translated 147 documents from English into multiple languages, including:
