Years working with Accuro

Initially, three of the larger practices identified a need for outsourced transcription support as a result of a difficulty in recruiting support staff and larger than average patient cohorts.

The Requirement

Three practices, Ashfields Primary Care Centre, Rope Green Medical Practice and Hungerford Medical Centre  initially identified a need for transcription support. As a result of an excellent service received, this was then recommended to a further eight practices in the GP alliance and they all use this service on a daily/weekly basis.

The Challenge

As each practice shares a Lexacom Database, Accuro alongside Lexacom had to complete further development in order to identify each practice. This was required as each practice holds clinics that are discipline specific (for example a respiratory clinic at Hungerford Medical Centre).

The Solution

Accuro designed an allocating matrix which would allow each practice to build themselves a close team of transcribers with experience in both general practice and a further discipline should the practice run discipline specific clinics. A constant feedback loop between Accuro, the practices and the Transcribers was created, this allowed the practices to benefit from an albeit virtual but personal secretarial team.
